Jumping Automata over Infinite Words

چکیده
Jumping automata are finite that read their input in a non-consecutive manner, disregarding the order of letters word. We introduce and study jumping over infinite words. Unlike setting words, which has been well studied, for words it is not clear how can be reordered. To this end, we consider three semantics: word some so no letter overlooked, permute windows given size k, an existentially-quantified bound. expressiveness, closure properties algorithmic these models.

Probabilistic Automata over Infinite Words: Expressiveness, Efficiency, and Decidability
Probabilistic ω-automata are variants of nondeterministic automata for infinite words where all choices are resolved by probabilistic distributions. Acceptance of an infinite input word can be defined in different ways: by requiring that (i) the probability for the accepting runs is positive (probable semantics), or (ii) almost all runs are accepting (almost-sure semantics), or (iii) the probab...
متن کاملOn MITL and Alternating Timed Automata over Infinite Words
One clock alternating timed automata (OCATA) have been introduced as natural extension of (one clock) timed automata to express the semantics of MTL [15]. In this paper, we consider the application of OCATA to the problems of model-checking and satisfiability for MITL (a syntactic fragment of MTL), interpreted over infinite words. Our approach is based on the interval semantics (recently introd...
متن کاملRankers over Infinite Words
We consider the fragments FO, Σ2 ∩ FO, Π2 ∩ FO, and ∆2 of first-order logic FO[<] over finite and infinite words. For all four fragments, we give characterizations in terms of rankers. In particular, we generalize the notion of a ranker to infinite words in two possible ways. Both extensions are natural in the sense that over finite words, they coincide with classical rankers and over infinite ...
متن کاملAutomata over Infinite Alphabets
In many contexts such as validation of XML data, software model checking and parametrized verification, the systems studied are naturally abstracted as finite state automata, but whose input alphabet is infinite. While use of such automata for verification requires that the non-emptiness problem be decidable, ensuring this is non-trivial, since the space of configurations of such automata is in...
متن کاملGroup Extensions over Infinite Words
We construct an extension E(A,G) of a given group G by infinite nonArchimedean words over an discretely ordered abelian group like Z. This yields an effective and uniform method to study various groups that ”behave like G”. We show that the Word Problem for f.g. subgroups in the extension is decidable if and only if and only if the Cyclic Membership Problem in G is decidable. The present paper ...
